This time we are going to trade the MacD for 2009. This message is automated to show you how the system performed with a risk setting of 5.
It would be possible to further adjust the risk setting, because you could also use a floating type value.
Each trade is influencing the next one and the system is using the risk setting to adjust the number of trades that are allowed.
With a high risk setting, you will see a lot of positions that are traded at the same time.
When you choose a low risk setting, you will also see fewer positions – and that also means fewer draw downs.
When you choose a high risk setting, that will increase the potential profit – but also the potential loss.
So finding the right trading risk setting is the main challenge here.
For 2009 you could go with a risk setting of 5, that is much more than we have traded in 2008.
In other years you could increase the risk setting to a higher value.
A good indication is when you see equity and balance going up in an almost straight line.
